New Delhi: Cold has knocked across North India including Delhi. Recently, due to snowfall and rain in the hilly areas, there has been a lot of change in the weather and the mercury has also dropped. At the same time, the weather is going to remain clear for a few days in the country’s capital and its bordering states from October 13. No significant change in the weather is expected for the next five days.
On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department, conditions are favorable for the withdrawal of monsoon in remaining parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, entire Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, Odisha, West Bengal and some parts of Telangana and some parts of Northeast India during the next two to three days. At the same time, during the next seven days, a warning of heavy rainfall has been issued in two states, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema during October 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18. There may be heavy rain with thunder in some areas. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue at isolated places in Assam in Northeast India. In the last 24 hours, 7 to 20 cm rain has been recorded in many areas. Apart from this, in the last 24 hours, heavy rain has been recorded at different places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.
Talking about South India, during October 12-18, there will be heavy rain with light to moderate rain at some places over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam on October 13 and 14. There is a possibility of thunderstorm with lightning and strong wind in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana during October 12-16 and Lakshadweep on October 12 and 13.
Talking about East and Central India, there is going to be light to moderate rain at some places in Odisha on October 12, while there is a warning of heavy rain at some places. There is a possibility of thunderstorm in Odisha during 12-14 October and Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh during 14-16 October. In Northeast India, a warning of storm with lightning has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on October 12. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall (7-20 cm) has been recorded at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) has been recorded at isolated places in Kerala and Mahe, Odisha, Assam and Tamil Nadu.
