Foxconn announced to invest Rs 15000 crore in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi . Foxconn announced investment of Rs. 15000 crore in Tamilnadu. This will create opportunities for 14,000 high-value jobs in the state.

State Industries Minister TRB Raja gave this information on Monday. According to the state minister, this is the largest ever commitment for engineering jobs in Tamil Nadu and will provide a big boost to Tamil Nadu’s electronics and advanced manufacturing sector. Raja said on social media platform

Raja said that through this investment, Foxconn will bring next stage value added manufacturing, R&D integration, AI-driven advanced technology operations to Tamil Nadu. He said Foxconn’s India representative Robert Wu met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and explained about the company’s investment plans in the state.

To support the company’s growth efforts, Tamil Nadu’s investment promotion agency Guidance will set up the first Foxconn desk in India. The Union Minister said this desk will ensure smooth functioning and mission-mode implementation of projects, and called it a step towards “Dravidian Model 2.0”.

The announcement came after Robert Wu met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru last Sunday. During that meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen Foxconn’s presence in Karnataka and explore new opportunities in manufacturing and technology collaboration. Foxconn is currently active in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana, and these new plans indicate a major expansion of the company in India.
