Uttar Pradesh government will give bonus to government employees on Diwali – Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow . Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh Government will give Bonus on Diwali to government employees.

The Chief Minister said that this decision is a symbol of the state government’s appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the employees. The role of government employees is very important in the progress of the state and the government is committed to their welfare at every level. According to the order issued by the Finance Department on the instructions of the Chief Minister, productivity unlinked bonus has been allowed to the state government employees. This bonus will be given by calculating the emoluments of 30 days based on the maximum limit of monthly emoluments of Rs. 7,000, which will give each eligible employee a benefit of Rs. 6,908.

The Chief Minister said that this financial benefit before Diwali will bring joy and enthusiasm to the families of the employees and will infuse new energy into the government and administration. About 14 lakh 82 thousand employees of the state government will be benefited by this decision, on which the total expenditure will be approximately Rs 1,022 crore. The Chief Minister has directed that payment of bonus to eligible employees should be ensured in a timely manner, so that all families can celebrate this festival with joy.

The scope of bonus admissible by the State Government includes those full-time non-gazetted personnel whose posts carry pay matrix level-8 (Rs. 47,600- Rs. 1,51,100) (corresponding grade pay up to ₹ 4,800). This includes state employees, employees of educational and technical educational institutions aided by state funds, employees of local bodies and district panchayats, work-in-charges of government departments and daily wage employees. Let us tell you that the Government of India has also decided to provide bonus for the financial year 2024-25 on September 29.
