New Delhi. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said on Tuesday that he spoke to PM Modi. According to Pichai, he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shared the US tech giant’s plans for its first AI hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
In fact, Google also announced a huge data center and Artificial Intelligence (AI) base in Visakhapatnam. Let us tell you that this will be Google’s largest AI hub outside the US and it will invest $ 15 billion in India in the next five years. The Indian-origin CEO termed this move as historic. He said the hub will bring together gigawatt-scale computing capacity, a new international subsea gateway and large-scale energy infrastructure.
Let us tell you that soon after the signing of the agreement between Google and Andhra Pradesh government, Google CEO Sundar Pichai made a post on X. In this post he wrote that through this we will bring our industry-leading technology to enterprises and users in India, accelerate AI innovation and drive development across the country. According to a report, Google has partnered with Adani Group for an AI data center campus. This is Google’s biggest investment in the country so far.
The company said in an official statement that this is in line with the ‘Developed India 2047’ vision of the Government of India, under which the expansion of AI-powered services will be accelerated. The statement further said that this initiative will create broad economic and social opportunities for both India and the US as well as pave the way for a generational shift in AI capabilities.
