Projects worth Rs 13 thousand crore given in Andhra Pradesh
He was addressing a rally on Thursday after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 13 thousand crore for Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, the PM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 13,430 crore for various parts of the state. These projects are related to major sectors like industry, power, roads, railways, defense manufacturing and petroleum and natural gas.

He laid the foundation stone of Transmission System Strengthening Project at Kurnool-3 Pooling Station at a cost of about Rs 2,880 crore. He laid the foundation stone of Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and Kopparthi Industrial Area in Cuddapah, which will see a total investment of more than Rs 4,920 crore.

Foundation stone of Greenfield Highway also laid
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of a six-lane greenfield highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar at a cost of over Rs 960 crore. The project aims to decongest the port city of Visakhapatnam and facilitate trade and employment.

He laid the foundation stone and inaugurated railway projects worth more than Rs 1,200 crore. In the energy sector, Modi inaugurated GAIL India Limited’s Srikakulam-Angul natural gas pipeline, constructed at a cost of about Rs 1,730 crore.

He inaugurated Indian Oil’s 60 TMTPA (thousand metric tonne per annum) LPG bottling plant at Chittoor, which has been set up with an investment of approximately Rs 200 crore.
