New Delhi: An ASI posted in cyber cell in Rohtak, Haryana committed suicide by shooting himself. Police have found a three-page suicide note and a video message from the spot. The deceased ASI has made serious allegations against the late IPS officer Y Puran Kumar in his suicide note. ASI has written that Y Puran Kumar was involved in corruption and was hijacking the system with the help of casteism.
In the note, the ASI said that he has given “martyrdom against the corrupt system” and demanded a fair investigation against the family. According to sources, the deceased ASI was part of the investigation team of an important case, which was related to the case related to Sushil Kumar, the gunman of IPS Y Puran Kumar. At present, the police has sent the body for postmortem and the investigation of the case is going on. The suicide note and video have been taken into custody by the forensic team.

In his suicide note, ASI wrote, ‘I am from Sandeep Kumar S/O Dayanand, Village- Julana, Jind. I have always supported truth in my life. I like a true and noble man very much. My grandfather and younger grandfather fought for the country and served in the army. Younger grandfather was imprisoned in Burma for 7 years during the country’s war. Patriotism is in my veins. No one is bigger than the country and society. I consider Bhagat Singh as my idol because he inspired us to liberate the country. He was a legend. If there were no people like Bhagat Singh, would the country have been free? He could have run away but didn’t. Inspires our races… A big issue in the society today is corruption and casteism…. Always interrupt the truth and ideal. In Haryana, IAS officers indulge in corruption on a large scale, but there were some honest officers in the BJP government who have curbed corruption to a great extent. DGP sir is an honest and fearless person. In the beginning I faced a lot of difficulties in adjusting to the environment. But my mind was and will always be with the truth.
In this note, he further wrote, ‘We made a lot of efforts to curb crime and to a large extent, we got support and good guidance from many officers. Inspired for the right, but as soon as IG Puran Kumar was transferred to Rohtak range, he posted corrupt policemen in the IG office and transferred honest and hardworking personnel. He spread the poison of casteism among our employees. They called the employees to the IG office, threatened them in the name of the files, took money and without any complaint, called for the files from Rohtak range and mentally tortured them by finding minor flaws in them. SIS Sunil and gunman Sushil used to extort money. Women policemen were called to the office, harassed and sexually exploited in the name of transfer, and ordinary citizens and businessmen were called and physically and mentally tortured and huge bribes were taken. Crime was not only encouraged but atrocities were taken to the zenith.
In his note he said, ‘If someone tried to raise his voice, he would have said that my hair is also dandy… the wife is an IAS and the brother-in-law is an MLA and the entire family is in the SC Commission. Nothing will happen to me. It was from here that IG Puran Kumar got the power to commit corruption and he committed corruption by suppressing it. When this matter came to the notice of higher officials and the CM, he was transferred. After transfer, a businessman, who had earlier been threatened by miscreants and goons, called him to his office, insulted him and abused his mother and sister. Gunman Sushil Kumar went to his (businessman) office and took the money, after presenting CCTV footage and voice recording, a case was registered against him. When IG Saheb’s name came up in the case, he committed suicide by preparing a false suicide note to give support and politicization to the Caste Commission. Regarding which this step was taken only to avoid arrest and got the opportunity to target honest IAS officers. They are torturing honest and hardworking officers by spreading caste based poison all over Haryana.
In the end Sandeep Kumar wrote, ‘This is the fight of truth and honesty against corruption. The truth should come out in this. The IAS wife is pretending that her corruption should not be exposed and her assets should not be investigated. But truth should not be lost. This is very important for our country and society to move forward. The black poets and corrupt people of our society are trying to reduce this fight. Forgot that patriotism is deeply embedded in our veins. 100 people like me may sacrifice their lives, but the country will not bow down and truth will prevail. I am making the first sacrifice in this fight for truth and honesty.
Let us tell you that the hot-tempered and controversial IPS officer of Haryana Police, Y. Puran Kumar committed suicide by shooting himself at his official residence in Chandigarh on 7 October 2025. In his suicide note, he had said that he was being harassed by senior officers and his complaints were being suppressed.
