New Delhi: The Supreme Court has commented in the case of a couple that the wife should not rotate the husband like a top. The Supreme Court advised the couple to keep their ego aside and take a decision in the interest of their children. Justice B.V. Nagarathna and R. Mahadevan’s division bench made this comment on Tuesday when the wife was refusing to accept several suggestions given by her husband to resolve their ongoing differences and to meet the child.
Let us tell you that in this case the husband works in the Railway Department in Delhi, while the wife is living with her parents in Patna. She works in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the child is also with her. The husband told the court that his in-laws had filed a case against him, hence he could not stay at their house. He said that he would live in a separate residence in Patna and would come to meet the child every week.
The Supreme Court described this proposal as reasonable and asked the wife’s lawyer to try to explain it to her, but the wife refused to accept the proposal. The court was also told that the wife was reluctant to come to Delhi due to differences with her in-laws. On this, the court asked the husband to either make arrangements to meet the child in Patna itself or to make his parents stay in a hotel or guest house for some time so that the wife can come to Delhi.
