Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Driven by the belief that every child deserves access to quality education and a brighter future, Smiley Children Society has emerged as a grassroots organization making a meaningful impact in the lives of underprivileged children across Andhra Pradesh. Since its establishment on January 19, 2019, the organization has been dedicated to creating opportunities for children through educational support, volunteer-driven initiatives, and community engagement.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Over the years, the organization has expanded its outreach by working closely with schools, parents, teachers, and local communities to improve children’s access to education.
One of its key initiatives focuses on helping children from economically weaker families secure admission to government schools. Volunteers actively identify children who are not enrolled in school, assist parents with documentation, and coordinate with educational institutions to ensure a smooth admission process. These efforts have helped reduce barriers to education while encouraging families to prioritize their children’s future.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who commended the dedication of the volunteers and acknowledged Founder Prudhvi Moses for leading impactful educational campaigns that benefit both schools and local communities.
Beyond school admissions, Smiley Children Society also conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara for students who require additional academic support. The organization further strengthens this initiative by providing free dinner after every class, helping children remain healthy while easing the financial burden on their families.
Speaking about the organization’s vision, Founder Prudhvi Moses said that true social development begins by investing in children’s education.
“Our objective is to ensure that no child is deprived of education because of poverty or lack of guidance. Through the combined efforts of volunteers, educators, and community members, we are creating opportunities that can positively change lives for years to come,” he said.
The organization also actively promotes creative learning methods in schools and Anganwadi centers, encouraging educators to adopt activity-based teaching techniques that make learning more engaging for young children. Smiley Children Society has pledged to support such initiatives by donating educational materials and classroom equipment whenever needed.
